1A The Beginning of Something New

When ever I asked about college I was told that it was going to be very challenging and you have to stay focused on your material. Now that I am in this university, I am starting to realize that it is more than just being a student. In college you are part of something. Being in this university is a goal accomplished in itself, It is one of my many goal that I have accomplished and have yet to achieve to becoming a professor in mathematics in a university such as SCSU.

Being enrolled into college for my self is not only getting the higher education that I work so hard for, but also growing up and maturing as an individual. In high school, teachers would chase us for our homework but in a university, teachers get paid to teach not to babysit. As cruel as that sounds, it forces the students to mature and be responsible for their own academic fate. In the beginning of this long journey we go in as students and come out as research scientist.

Hard work and determination has always been the support system of my success thus far in my education.  I have learned that nothing is easy and that you have to work hard to get to where you are.  My parents have taught me that hard work always pays off.  Being raised in such a strict family also helps me take things more seriously and go beyond my level. As of right now I am looking forward to learn new things from my courses and get the results I expect at the end of this semester. Also I am excited to meet new people as this semester goes by.
