Who Has it Better?

As I was sitting in the auditorium, for Welcome Weekend waiting for it to end, Chris Herren showed up to tell us about his drug addiction. I was very surprised to see a man who has gone through so much talk about his pain in front of hundreds of students. His story had touched so many Americans. I was surprised at SCSU had gotten such a famous person to come to our school.  It shows me that they try their best to keep their students from ruining their lives.

 After he finished with his story a lot of students started opening up to him too. I was very happy to see that they can talk about their pain in front of hundreds of students. This lecture made me realize that I have nothing to complain about because other people have it worst. Most teenagers complain about how they don’t have the coolest car or how they don’t get enough money.  I have learned that the people who have it worst complain the least than people who have it all.
