6A The Struggle

One of the biggest challenges I had to face when I came here was to learn English as soon as I came to America. It was a big challenge because when I came here I did not know English at all.  It felt like I was in an unknown world. When I first went to school I was lost because I did not know what the students and teachers were talking about. It felt like they were talking about me. When I went home that day I started to cry because I felt like such an outsider. I had a tutor in school that would teach me words like duck and pool. It seemed so hard at that time. As I started seeing progress I was becoming happier with my life. I started seeing progress in school also, which made me feel accomplished.
When I finally learned English I felt so accomplished because now I could understand all the students and I could actually communicated with them.  This experience has taught me that even if it does get tough you cannot give up. It is something that you have to work really hard to accomplish.  It was a tough experience but it was worth it because no I get to live a whole different life.
I believe that every person goes through tough challenges. It is a part of life that we deal with it constantly. Most people just give up but I encourage people to try their hardest because it is worth it in the end.
