7A Learning From Failure

Failure plays a big part in a person’s life. It can hurt them or make them better. I believe that failure can make a person try more. Parents don’t encourage failure but they don’t prevent their kids from failing. Our society does not put failure in a category because it is difficult to put a label on it. Talking about failure reminds me about my failures in life and how they have taught me to be strong and not give up. I remember when I first failed my permit test because I was so nervous. That day was the worst because I had disappointed my dad. I felt so bad and I was also scared to go back. I remember that feeling I got when I failed and trust me it was not a good feeling. I realized that this failure had made me stronger and also prevented me from failing the next test.  This is the reason why I believe that failure is sometimes a good thing.  One quote that really inspired me this week was JK Rowling’s speech. She describes her failure in a very positive way, “ Failure gave me an inner security that I never attained by passing examinations. Failure taught me things about my self that I could have learned no other way.”  In this quote she says that failure has taught her lessons that she wouldn’t have learned any other way.  She describes failure as a good thing. I definitely agree with her because failure can teach you a lot of valuable things that you can use in the future.
