Many students had come up with great college question. Also
they provided a great answer. My professor describes a good answer to have a
thesis, examples, and a conclusion. In my English-110 class. My professor gives
us many lessons on how to answer a question and summarize. I would say that
being in that class has taught me how to answer college question with many
examples to support my thesis.
Many students provided good answers, but one student really
answered the question right. Sam answered her question by first beginning with
a thesis. After she gave examples from the reading, than she gave an
explanation and a closing point. Her question had all the basic elements that
you need in order for you to give a good answer in a quiz/exam. She answered
what the question was really asking.
Another student that answered the question very well is Kali
Rogers. She also had a thesis, examples and conclusion. She also answered the
question right. She quoted from the reading and cited the page. As I was
reading her answer I felt like I learned a lot about the material.
I was thankful that we actually had a lesson on how to form college-based
question. I learned that you need to state your point/thesis to show the reader
what you are talking about. You also need examples to support your point so
that the reader doesn’t get confused. In the end you need a closing. In a
closing you simply restate you thesis in a different way. This lesson has
finally made me realize that we are not in high school anymore. College question
are way more complicated than high school question. In college you need to
support your ideas and give your opinion. I hope that this exercise will boost
my grade in the next quiz.
